DESCRIPTION: This Italian satellite, Cosmo Skymed 3, was launched from Vandenberg Airforce Base on October 24, 2008. Once again a successful launch. The brightest stars that you see are actually the planets Jupiter (on the left) and Venus (near bottom center).
