DESCRIPTION: Completed in 1876 this loop was created so that the trains could rise slowly up the slope of the Tehachapi pass. There is a tunnel 77 feet below the rails above which enables the train engineers to be able to see their own rail cars coming out of the tunnel! Amazing.
